Health and Wellness: Mental Health Edition
Amy Harris • Hart Career Center • MOSEF Board Vice President/Treasurer
We've talked about the importance of stretching, exercise, sleep, and nutrition for the physical health of our gamers. But what about their mental? In this optional early bird session, we'll practice breathing, mindful stretching, and meditation, and go over some resources to help you keep your teams in their best frame of mind. Feel free to bring your own cushion or mat!
Breakout Sessions
Coach Dashboard Using Notion: Stay organized and (literally) on the same page!
Lindsey Neal • Fox Senior High School
Establishing your program starts with your vision and mission, but maintaining that among the rules, titles, timelines, and paperwork can be challenging. Creating a coach dashboard or wiki using an online app like Notion can centralize the data for your program and minimize the clicks needed each year. It is also a central hub for training the coaches of your program and sharing your vision and mission with all stakeholders.
Discord for MOSEF
Leiuna Wofford • Plato High School
Come & learn the basics of how to use Discord specifically in the way that MOSEF uses it: for communication, planning, & networking. We will also discuss some of the security measures we utilize, why we use them, & how to implement these measures in your own Discord servers.
Help, I’m Surrounded by Cornfields and I Have to Lead an Esports Program

Rural scholastic esports just hits different. Come and hear Coach Wolf discuss the advantages and difficulties about of leading a rural esports program. We will also spend a bit of time discussing how larger schools can help rural schools in their area.

Adrienne McIntire • Midland University
A forum for high school coaches to learn how to help their students get recruited. This will include information like:
• Questions to ask college reps
• How to market your team
• How to get and keep colleges invested in your team
Questions will be taken prior to and during the session.
Invitational Events and You
Amy Harris • Hart Career Center • MOSEF Board Vice President/Treasurer

Soft Skill Development Through Esports
Amy Harris • Hart Career Center • MOSEF Board Vice President/Treasurer
From the outside, gamer stereotypes don't bring to mind a picture of career-ready behaviors and habits. But on the inside, participating on an esports team hits all of the major soft skills employers are looking for! This session will explain how, and offer activities and practices to reinforce development.
Gaming Sessions
Our gaming sessions will serve the dual purpose of stress-testing our new NUCs and getting in some practice time on the games our students play!
Sessions 1-3 are 90 minutes each and feature 2024-25 MOSEF titles.
Session 4 is open-ended. We expect many coaches will want to play Marvel Rivals, but the time will be flexible!
